Meet Dr. Marty Verbic

Dr. Marty Verbic saw how powerful and transforming orthodontics can be in people's lives through the work of a family friend. So after working for several years as a research engineer, he went back to school to pursue a DDS from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received the highest awards for academic excellence conferred upon a student by both the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.

Following graduation from dental school, he attended a three-year residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and received a specialty certificate in Orthodontics and an M.S. degree in Oral Science. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and Illinois State Dental Society.

Outside the office, Dr. Verbic enjoys doing Crossfit to stay in shape and watching sci-fi movies and White Sox games during the baseball season.

Smiles Change Lives

Dr. Verbic believes no child should grow up bullied because of their smile. Verbic Orthodontics is an active partner of Smiles Change Lives and accepts all cases.

Smiles Change Lives is an international non-profit organization that promotes increased self-esteem and improved oral health for children needing orthodontic treatment whose families cannot afford the full cost of braces. Their goal is to help these families secure treatment for their children by connecting them with orthodontic providers willing to donate their services to deserving patients.

Donated Orthodontic Services Program

In 2009, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) launched the Donated Orthodontic Services program to address concerns among AAO members about access to orthodontic treatment for children in need. The AAO launched this charitable program in five states: Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

The AAO Donated Orthodontic Services program's mission is to serve children without insurance coverage who are in need of braces and orthodontic treatment. Verbic Orthodontics is a proud member of the AAO Donated Orthodontic Services program and continues to help children in need of braces and orthodontic treatment throughout Illinois
